All sessions are conducted online using a secure video conferencing platform accessed via the Client Portal.
A free 15-minute consultation will be provided to all prospective clients. These consultations and any subsequent services are provided via video conference. Dr. Ariel does not offer telephone appointments.
During this consultation, there will be a brief discussion regarding the concerns bringing you to therapy, Dr. Ariel's scope of practice, and the appropriateness of fit. Referrals will be provided, as necessary.
Initial phone consultations are provided free of charge. For self-pay clients, diagnostic assessments are $250, and subsequent therapy appointments are $185/session. For clients using insurance, Headway will complete a verification of your benefits and provide you with a session cost estimate before your first visit, including information regarding possible copay, coinsurance, or deductible.
Clients have to option to use in-network insurance benefits to pay for services using the Headway platform. Currently, Dr. Ariel is accepting new clients with the following companies:
Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
Superbills are available upon request to submit for reimbursement for out-of-network insurance benefits with other companies.
New and existing clients have the option to self-schedule online by submitting an appointment request via the Client Portal.
Diagnostic assessments are 90 minutes, and therapy appointments are about 50 minutes long.
The typical frequency of therapy appointments is every 1-3 weeks. However, this will vary based on individual needs and preferences.
Payments for services are processed securely via the Client Portal. All clients will be required to provide a credit or debit card on file, regardless of whether self-pay or using insurance, due to Speak Life Psychotherapy's Cancellation Policy.
Clients using their insurance to pay for services will complete billing via the Headway platform.
Appointments will be cancelled and/or rescheduled at no cost if notice is provided at least 24-hours in advance of the scheduled appointment time. In the event of late or no notice, clients will be billed $100 for the missed appointment.
A limited number of slots are reserved for clients eligible to receive services at a reduced rate. Feel free to inquire about this option during your free phone consultation.
